You can take your results of Putting It Together or any career interest, ability or value survey and compare them to career descriptions found in the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH). Or, just use the OOH to look up occupations in which you have an interest. You can use this information to help you make better decisions about what distance learning opportunities might be best for you.
One of the best ways to find out about different careers is to talk to someone who is currently in the career in which you are interested. This is called informational interviewing.
