Description:
Columbus State Community College offers transfer courses leading to the Associate of Arts degree which will generally satisfy the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. Formal agreements have been made with colleges and universities in Central Ohio and The University of Toledo which allow for coursework taken in the A.A. degree programs at Columbus State to transfer and apply to B.A. or B.S. requirements at those institutions. Transfer Guides are available for Capital University, Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Otterbein College, and The Ohio State University. These guides are designed to assist students in selecting courses that will specific requirements at the institutions listed above. Contact a transfer advisor for more information.

In addition, the core degree requirements at Columbus State constitute the Ohio Board of Regent's approved Ohio Transfer Policy Module which will transfer to any state supported institution in Ohio.

Admission/Prerequisite Requirements:
Regular admission to the College is offered to applicants who are high school graduates or possess G.E.D. equivalency. Other applicants over 18 years of age may be admitted as a regular or conditional status student based upon placement test results.

Admission to the College does not assure admission to a particular program of study. Many technologies, including Nursing, have established additional requirements that must be fulfilled prior to acceptance. All prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the Welcome Center at (800) 621-6407, ext. 2669 for specific information.

For some students, additional (prerequisite) coursework in science, mathematics and English may be needed prior to enrollment in certain courses and programs.
